LDFA Divisional League Kicks Off As Amsterdam Record Win In Lagos

The much anticipated Lagos Divisional Football League kicked off on Monday at NPA sports ground, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos.

In the fixtures released by the organizers, AYICRIP NELIS forced Micheal May Academy to 2-2 draw, while Amsterdam walloped Adventure Academy 3-0.

Three matches would be played on Tuesday as Samba face Okaka, Honour battle Talent Hunt, while AGRA confront PAT in the last match of the day.

Chairman Lagos Divisional Football Association LDFA Akintunde Tinubu expressed satisfaction with the officiating and standard of play by the teams but quickly reminded them to shun vices that can dent the image of the league.

“The league started on a good note. The two matches played today lived up to expectations and i expect all the teams to give account of themselves.

“This league would be tough because we have some teams that have football pedigree in the league and it is not going to be easy for any team.I wish all the teams best of luck in their outings,” he said.
