Women’s Pro-League: Suleiman applauds high standard in Abuja centre

Nigeria Women Football League board member, Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia, Hajia Hussaina Suleiman, Tuesday applauded the high standard of soccer artistry by the teams at the Abuja Centre of the Nigerian Women’s Pro-League play-off.

She told NWFL MEDIA at the FIFA Goal Project, Package B of the Abuja National Stadium, venue of the Pro-League Group A games, that, the standard of play exhibited by all the clubs at the Abuja Centre are so high such that, any of the four teams would favourable compete against top Premier League clubs.

“The standard here is so good, that one wonders if all the participating teams in Abuja are already in the Premier League.”

“I can assure you that, any of the team that gains promotion to the NWPL will be good to challenge for the title just as English clubside, Leicester City, did in the English Premier League Football, where they won in their first year in the Premier League Division after just gaining promotion from the lower division.

“The four teams playing in Abuja; Faith Hills Queens, FC Sadaatu Amazons, Gift of Life FC and Invisible Angels Football Club, have been very enterprising and I can vouch that any of them who gets promoted will be a tough contender in the premier league.”
