Wikki Tourists Appoint Former Players Bashir Saleh, Hashimu Garba As Chief Coach, Coordinator

The Bauchi-born tactician Bashir Saleh holds a CAF B Coaching license from the famous National Institute for Sports(NIS) Lagos.

His Football Career spanned some years when he started as a registered league player with Wikki Tourists feeder team in 1995.

Coach Bash as he is popularly called later joined Zabgai FC and Wunti FC at different intervals.

His Career ended at Wikki Tourists FC in 2003 due to injury after playing for four seasons forcing him to switch to the Coaching line.

His major appointments as a Coach were in Wikki Tourists FC during the 2019/2020 and 2021/2022 seasons and Gombe United for the 2021/22 and 2022/23 NPFL seasons as Chief Coach respectively before this re-engagement by the new Wikki Tourists Interim Management.

In the same vein, the new Team Coordinator Hashimu Garba was a Former player of the Club and had briefly held the position of Team Manager previously.

He was a member of the 1999 U20 Nigeria National Team for the FIFA Youth Games and played Professional Football in Italy from 1997 to 2008 when he last played for Copparese FC in the Italian lower division league before finally returning to Nigeria.

Just like the Chief Coach Hashimu Garba also started his Football Career at the grassroots level with non-league clubs in Bauchi and later graduated to join Zabgai and Wunti Football clubs as a League player before pitching his tent with WIkki Tourists as a professional player.

Both appointments by the WIkki Tourists Interim Management take Immediate effect.
