“We Will Definitely Win The Two Games,” Edo Queens Midfielder Optimistic Ahead of Remaining Super Six Games

Edo Queens midfielder, Esther Oyenezide, is optimistic her side can pull a maximum of six points from the remaining two games of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Super Six tournament going on in Edo.

Edo Queens are yet to win a game in the tournament losing to Nasarawa Amazon 1-0 and then 2-1 against Bayelsa Queens with their only point coming in matchday one in a draw against Delta Queens.

“We really did well despite the sacking of our coach,” Esther told Sports247.

“This is our career and we’re here to showcase ourselves and our talent,” she added.

The midfielder who is on loan from Robo Queens for the duration of the Super Six felt the performance in the game against Bayelsa where she scored the first goal of the tournament for Edo Queens, would have earned them more points in their previous games before sharing that the team would win its last two games.

“Bayelsa are a good side and they were able to hold us. If we had put up this same performance in the other games, we would have gotten point,” Esther said.

“As for the next two games, we will definitely win them for sure,” she concluded.
