Victor Oladipo Seeks Astonishing Return To Relevance In NBA By Staging Pro-Exhibition Games On Tuesday

Nigerian-born slam-dunk veteran, Kehinde Babatunde Victor Oladipo is making an ambitious return to relevance in USA’s National Basketball Association (NBA) by organising a series of pro-exhibition games on Tuesday, Sports247 reports.

Oladipo’s spirited attemtpt to showcase himself as a credibile candidate for an NBA deal this off-season will see the 34-year-old former star player of Orlando Magic, Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat roll back his sleeves once again as organiser-cum-player.

However, a barage of skepticism followed Oladipo’s announcement via social media that he will be hosting a Pro Day in Las Vegas, USA, as he has not played an NBA game since the 2022/2023 season, when he featured for Miami Heat 42 times before suffering a season-ending knee injury.

The Cupid-faced Nigerian-born guard was initially drafted with the number two overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by Orlando Magic, then spent the first three years of his career with the franchise before being traded to Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Serge Ibaka.

However, he was only in OKC for one season before he was transfered d to Indiana Pacers, where he had a chaotic 2020/2021 season and he was traded in January as part of a four-team deal that largely focused on James Harden landing at Brooklyn Nets.

On February 1st, 2024, before playing for Houston, Oladipo was traded to Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Steven Adams but, just a week later, he was waived before playing for them, following which he had a short spell in October 2025 with Guangzhou Loong Lions of China.

He played only two games on their NBA pre-season tour, then joined Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League on November 9th, 2025 but was traded to Cleveland Charge on February 19th, 2026, though he did not play for them throughout the 2025/26 season.

Oladipo, who earlier joined ESPN as a sports analyst on October 10th, 2024, is now seeking a return to top-flight action through his upcomong Pro Day on Tuesday, ahead of which he stated: “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to compete.

“(I want to again) showcase where I am in my game, and connect with everyone in attendance The workout is open to NBA front office executives, scouts, coaches, league personnel and officials interested in attending.”
