Unlucky BURUJ FC Falls To DESTINY FC In Ikenne As Management Looks beyond NLO

Despite the dominating proceedings for larger parts of the game, Buruj FC fell to a lone goal loss to Destiny FC at the NLO center in Ikenne.

Destiny Boys FC initially dominated the game but a more settled Buruj Football Club with crisp accurate passings with some individual brilliance from Chinonso Dim and the left-back Kehinde Daniel, the team began to entertain.

Despite, the Hammers looking comfortable, they didn’t provide much firepower in the final third. The only key chance came when Emmanuel Joseph’s cross needed Muhammedlawal Opesusi to punch among a crowd of players to clear the danger.

The best chance fell to Buruj’s David Osahon after 40 minutes. A swift move started by a Nurudeen Adebeshin throw-out found Noah Salaudeen who provided the pass to set the striker up, his effort however was tipped unto the bar by Destiny Boys’ goalkeeper.

Luck will fall for Destiny Boys as an error from Buruj Football Club goalkeeper, Oladeji Horlah gives them the lead.

After the game, Buruj’s CEO said “we are looking for young legs who are ready to give results as the management looks far beyond the Nigeria Nationwide League One, I that will represent the country in our yearly international Outing.”

He continued by saying “I believe so much in grassroots and their ability to revolve the world, For instance, the time of Messi, Ronaldo is gradually fading off and its a good time for young blood to take up the mace.”

“I’m highly impressed by the performance of our boys they performed well on the pitch. Kudos to Destiny Boys who were lucky in today’s match and I wish them well.”

Among the spectators who enjoyed the game included Hon. Gafar Bolowotan Director-General of Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Kunle Soname CEO of Bet9ja and Remo Stars Football Club.
