Suspended captain of Enyimba International of Aba, Mfon Udoh has disclosed that the club are doing everything to stop him from leaving, and says they have held firmly unto his papers against his will.

Making his plight known to sports247.ng in an exclusive interview, Udoh said the Aba-based club, who are in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals, are holding unto documents that would help him join another club, because they want to continue punishing him for speaking out.

The former Akwa United of Uyo star said he is facing the cagey situation because Enyimba officials accused him of being a rebel and working against the club.

Udoh insisted he is innocent of all the allegations leveled against him, but says he now wants to move on because his contract with the club has run out.

He stated further to sports247.ng: “My contract with Enyimba has expired but they are still withholding my clearance, in spite of having already suspended me for speaking out my opinion.

“The Enyimba management said those documents will not be released to me until December. That is the time they say my contract with them must have expired, but that is not true.

“It is something like this that led to my disagreement with them in the first place. I am not a rebel, only that I spoke out on a matter that personally concerns me.”
