Tyson Fury Reflects on Making Prank Phone Calls To Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury reflected back on a recent claim from fellow world champion Anthony Joshua, who claimed the ‘Gypsy King’ would randomly call him with playful taunts.

Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury reflected back on a recent claim from fellow world champion Anthony Joshua, who claimed the ‘Gypsy King’ would randomly call him with playful taunts.

Fury confirmed those claims, stating that he likes to call Joshua and have a bit of fun.

“I call him and sometimes I say, ‘What’s happening AJ, how are you mush?’ We have a bit of back and forth; I tell him I’m going to know him out, he tells me he’s going to knock me out. I said, ‘After your last performance you need a lot of improvement to knock me out,” Fury told BT Sport.

“We have a little laugh, it’s a bit of banter. You have all these heavyweight champions and famous sportspeople in your phone, you have a couple of beers, what are you going to do? It’s just me having a bit of banter. I call Dillian Whyte, Wayne Rooney and Anthony Joshua.”

Joshua basically detailed the same story as Fury.

“He’s an interesting character,” Joshua said to Behind The Gloves. “Tyson will call me randomly on the phone and he will have a little laugh and I will have a little laugh.

“Then I will say I’m going to knock you out, then he will say, ‘Shut up, I’ll knock you out’. That’s just me and Tyson, through and through the respect is there but we’re fighting men.”

Fury is back in the ring on Saturday night when he faces undefeated Otto Wallin at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Joshua returns to the ring on December 7th, when he faces WBO, WBA, IBO, IBF world champion Andy Ruiz in a rematch in Saudi Arabia.
