British heavyweight boxer and former champion of the world, Tyson Fury has prayed for two friends of his rival, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua, following their deaths in accident on Monday, Sports247 reports.

As responses continue flooding in from all across the world, Fury has added words of sympathy, even as a doubt now lingers over their much-expected all-British showdown, tentatively scheduled to hold in the summer of 2026.
Media reports out of England noted that talk of a fight between the top two British heavyweights of this decade resurfaced after Joshua’s victory over American social media influencer, Jake Paul in Miami, USA.
However, British tabloid, Daily Mail has now hinted that the bout is doubtful, after video recordings at the scene of the accident showed Joshua grimacing in pain while being helped out of the wreckage.
The report added: “While the exact nature of Joshua’s injuries are currently unknown, it is thought to be highly doubtful that he will be in any shape for a quick ring return, despite his team insisting he is in ‘stable’ condition.
“The possibility of rib and knee injury was floated by an individual in his inner circle, despite Nigerian authorities downplaying the scale of damage to Joshua.
“There will also be the question of psychological trauma caused by the ordeal which saw two of his best friends die just inches away from him.
“This aspect of the accident has prompted speculation the boxer might retire from the sport which has earned him a nine-figure fortune.”
On the other hand, rather than focus on speculation about the fight likely being called off, Fury extended his sympathy to Joshua and gave some words of spiritual comfort, as he took to social media to pay tribute to Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
‘The Gypsy King’ wrote on Instagram: “This is so sad. May God give them a good bed in heaven.”
Sports247 gathered that his tributes came after he hinted that he will make a return to the ring tgis year, as the 37-year-old pugilist posted a picture of himself with his sons, Prince and Johnboy, all wearing T-shirts bearing the words ‘I’m back. Fury. My legacy. Old School.’
