As Kwara United Football Club prepares for their historic clash in the 2025 President Federation Cup final, prominent businessman and philanthropist, Mallam Tunji Mohammed (Baba Adinni Tijaniyah), has thrown his weight behind the team, calling on them to seize the moment and deliver a first-ever national trophy for the state.
Mallam Mohammed, who is also the CEO of El-Lado Transport, described the team’s qualification for the final as a golden opportunity to break the 49-year-old jinx, referring to the painful 1976 loss of then Kwara-based club, Aliusalam Rocks, to Rangers International in the Challenge Cup final — still the state’s highest achievement in the competition to date.

“Kwara has been knocking for decades. This is the time to go all the way. The boys must give it their all and write their names in history,” he said.
While expressing confidence in the team’s ability to triumph, the respected philanthropist cautioned against complacency, urging the players to stay focused, show grit, and approach the game with utmost seriousness.
He also commended the State Government for its continuous support of football development, stating that a trophy win would be a fitting reward for the collective efforts of all stakeholders.
Mallam Mohammed made a passionate call to all sports stakeholders, fan clubs, and supporters of Kwara United, particularly those based in Lagos where the final will be held, to troop to the Mobolaji Johnson Arena and cheer the team to victory.
“This is not just about football. It’s about rewriting the story of Kwara football. Let’s make history together,” he concluded.
