The surge being achieved by fast-rising Sweden-based youngster, Ibrahim Adewale has become a reference point to motivate other talented players at Tripple 44 Football Academy of Ibadan to aim for the top, Sports247 reports.
This was revealed by the academy’s youthful head coach and technical director, Abioye Oluwatosin, who pointed out that Adewale is the biggest product of the Ibadan-based academy that was established in 2016.

Oluwatosin disclosed that Adewale and several other talents who emerged from the academy’s base in Apata area of the Oyo State capital always bring a smile to the face of their chairman, Olatunji Okuku, whose main business is promoting young footballers.
He further disclosed that other products who honed their skills at the academy’s Bora Field training ground include Abel Oguche, Prince Amos and Israel-based Peter Olawale.
However, the biggest appeal for the ream that placed fourth at this year’s Supremacy Cup, which ended in grand style on Thursday at Legacy Pitch of Lagos National Stadium, happens to be Olawale, who recently moved from lowly IF Karistad to Mijallby AIF.
“He is a fast-paced, creative, and very skilful winger. He signed his transfer papers to join the Swedish champions, Mijallby, just three weeks ago,” said Coach Abioye.
An independent check by Sports247 confirmed Adewale’s recent deal with ‘The Team By The Sea,’ who are currently the reigning Allveskan league champions in ‘The Land of The Mighnight Sun.’
An earlier report by ACLSports stated in part: “The Tripple 44 Football Academy graduate, who moved to Sweden earlier in the year, hit the ground running, as he scored 13 goals and made four assists in 29 appearances for a third division club.
“Adewale, who was excellent last year and wore the academy’s captain armband while in Nigeria, finished as the team’s top scorer in 2024 with 20 goals, and his performances in the lower tier of Sweden have now taken him to the top of Swedish football.
“All documents have been signed, and medicals have been completed, ending interest from other teams like Sirius, AIK, IFK Norrköping, and Östers IF. The forward has signed a five-year deal with Mjällby.”
However, it was notcrosy for Adewale’s team back in Nigeria, because Tripple 44’s trip to Lagos ended on a sore note at Legacy Pitch on Thursday, when they lost 4-1 to the host’s club, 36 Lion FC, in the third place match of Supremacy Cup 2025.
