Premier League rivals West Ham United and Everton are set to go head-to-head in the race to sign Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika from Belgian giants Club Brugge.
Onyedika, 23, was one of the standout performers in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League last season, drawing widespread attention with his dominant displays in midfield.

His impressive performances, coupled with a thunderous long-range strike against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League group stage, have put him firmly on the radar of top European clubs.
Club Brugge, however, are not willing to let the Nigerian star leave on the cheap.
The Belgian side are reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £25 million to part ways with the dynamic midfielder, who has become a key figure in their setup since joining from FC Midtjylland.
West Ham, under new leadership following David Moyes’ departure, are keen to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season.
Everton, on the other hand, view Onyedika as a long-term solution to their midfield instability as they aim to rebuild under Sean Dyche.
With both English clubs eager to reinforce their squads, a bidding war could be on the cards — and for Onyedika, a potential Premier League move could mark the next big step in his promising career.
