Transfer Saga: FIFA Ordered Moroccan club to pay Lobi Stars sign-on fees

World football governing body FIFA on Thursday reminded Difaa El Jadida of Morocco to pay Lobi Stars of Nigeria a sum of $100, 000 (about ₦36m) as sign-on fees for CHAN Eagles striker, Anthony Okpotu.

World Football governing body ordered the Moroccan club to pay within 30 days starting from the 21st of January, 2019, and also pay Lobi Stars a further interest of 5% of the transfer for payment delay.

Also included in the payment is a sum of 10,000 Swiss Franc as proceeding cost from Difaa El Jadida to Lobi Stars. It would be recalled that Lobi Stars lodged a formal complaint in September after the Moroccan club had failed to honour an agreement to pay within seven days of the receipt of International Transfer Certificate (ITC) for Okpotu.
