Super Falcons star Christy Ucheibe has completed a move to Al Hilal Women, joining the Saudi Women’s Premier League after a trophy-laden six-year spell in Portugal.
Sports247 reports that the versatile Nigerian, who can operate as both a defender and midfielder, brings considerable European experience to the Saudi Arabian side as she begins a new chapter in her career.

Ucheibe established herself as an important figure during her time in Portugal, where she spent six seasons competing at the highest level and adding domestic silverware to her growing collection.
Her move to Al Hilal represents another significant step in the international expansion of Nigerian women’s football talent, with an increasing number of Super Falcons stars making their mark in leagues outside Europe. The 24-year-old will also reunite with fellow Nigerian international Asisat Oshoala, who is already plying her trade in the Middle East with Al Hilal Women.
The reunion gives Al Hilal two experienced Super Falcons internationals capable of making a major contribution to the club’s ambitions in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
For Ucheibe, the transfer provides an opportunity to experience a different football culture and compete in a league that has continued to invest in the development and visibility of women’s football.
