Trabzonspor of Turkey striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu will not be sold by the Turkish Cup winners, because he was the Super Lig’s top scorer last season and he still has a lot of potential to keep shining, despite the arrival of Mohamed Salah into the squad.
Sports247 reports that this verdict was served by no less a person that the Trabzon-based club’s president, Ertugrul Dogan, who asserted that Onuachu is too precious to the club for them to let him go at this point when he is in top form for the team.

Despite rising speculation that the arrival of Salah would make the club’s top brass consider selling Onuachu in order to make way for the Egyptian star as their marquee player, with jersey number 10 already assigned to him, Dogan stressed that they are determined to keep the Super Eagles star.
His verdict also ruled out the possibility of the 32-year-old Onuachu bowing to growing transfer interest from Saudi Arabia, amidst reports that the Super Lig outfit might also consider selling him due to the arrival of Franculino Dju from his former club, FC Midtjylland of Denmark.
Rather than accept that the arrivals of Salah and Dju both make Onuachu’s exit inevitable, Dogan insists Trabzonspor will not entertain offers for the giant striker, who had a spectacular campaign last season, as he ended up as joint-top scorer in the Turkish top-flight.
“There is no question of Paul Onuachu leaving. He is the league’s top scorer; such a situation is out of the question,” Dogan told marasbugun.com.tr, while also parrying speculation that the striker is already distracted, as he is yet to score after five games across all competitions this season.
