Sixteen-year-old Flamingos and FC Robo Queens forward Oluwakemi Adegbuyi has earned a call-up to the Super Falcons squad for Nigeria’s 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games qualifying fixtures against Comoros. She earn a good recommendation from a Sports journalist, Anthony Sunday Samuel popularly known as Radio Messiah.
Sports247 reports that, Comoros will host the first leg of the second-round encounter on Friday, October 9, while Nigeria will welcome the island nation for the return leg on Tuesday, October 13, at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Adegbuyi’s invitation comes after a remarkable year in which the teenage forward has established herself as one of the most exciting young attacking talents in Nigerian women’s football.
Her latest recognition did not come as a surprise to those who have closely followed her development.
“I was discussing her with one of my colleagues that she is very talented and that if I were the coach of the Falconets, I would promote her to the U-20 team immediately,” Anthony Sunday told Sports247.
“Waking up this morning and seeing her invited to the Super Falcons is not a surprise to me because she has the quality and can perform very well when given a chance.”
Adegbuyi was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup after playing a key role in Nigeria’s perfect campaign.
The forward scored four goals and provided more than two assists as the Flamingos recorded five wins from five matches to lift the title.
Her individual honours in 2026 have been equally impressive. Adegbuyi has been named the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup Player of the Tournament, 2026 WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers Player of the Tournament, and 2025/26 NWFL Premiership Player of the Season.
The 16-year-old has also scored more than 21 competitive goals for club and country in 2026, underlining her consistency at both youth and senior club level.
“When you talk about gifted talents, she is one of them. She is too good for her age, super talented, and all her performances on the pitch speak highly of her ability.”
Adegbuyi will now have the opportunity to make the next step in her development with the Super Falcons, with the Olympic qualifiers potentially providing her first taste of senior international football.
