Organisers of the ongoing Tojemarine Invitational Handball Championship in Lagos have disclosed that the competition is an innovation that gives clubs across West Africa a rare opportunity to expose their players and accord them a competitive platform to showcase their talents.
Sports247 reports that this mission statement is contained in a press release issued by the competition’s organising committee, which highlighted various benefits from the line up of games inside the Gymnasium Complex of National Institute for Sports (NIS) at Lagos National Stadium.
With clubs from neighbouring countries of Ghana and Benin Republic taking place in this competition, the organising committee further affirmed that Tojemarine 2026 is an ideal avenue for fraternizing through sports, building international relations and spreading the essence of sportsmanship.
Organisers disclosed further, “The championship is aimed at providing a platform for clubs across West Africa to showcase their talents, raise competitive standards and strengthen sporting ties within the region.
“The participation of teams from Ghana and Benin Republic reflects the growing international appeal of the tournament and its increasing importance on the West African handball calendar.
