General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mohammed Sanusi, has assured Nigerians that there will be no logistical concerns ahead of the upcoming Unity Cup tournament.
Speaking on preparations for the competition, Sanusi revealed that the federation has been working intensely behind the scenes to ensure all players, especially those from the domestic league, receive proper travel documentation on time.
“There will be no logistics issues,” he said.
According to the NFF official, the federation understands the importance of proper planning and organization before international tournaments.
“We’ve been working seriously on it,” he implied.
Sanusi explained that special attention has been given to home-based players who may require additional documentation processes before traveling.
“We want everything sorted early,” he noted.
The NFF secretary also stressed that the Unity Cup should not be viewed strictly as a must-win tournament.
“It’s not just about winning,” he added.
Instead, he described the competition as an important platform for transition and integration within the Super Eagles setup.
“This is an opportunity to build the future,” he stressed.
Sanusi revealed that the tournament will help younger and fringe players gradually adapt to the demands of senior international football.
“It’s part of the transition process,” he said.
The Unity Cup is expected to feature several fresh faces as head coach Eric Chelle continues rebuilding the national team.
For Sanusi, the message is clear.
Preparation is under control.
The focus is on development.
And the Super Eagles transition process is already underway.
Because sustainable success begins with proper planning both on and off the pitch.
