Ghanaian descent and Greece forward Andrews Tetteh, who has previously named Nigerian legend Yakubu Aiyegbeni as his role model, was the standout performer as Panathinaikos were held to an entertaining 2–2 draw by Viktoria Plzeň at the Athens Olympic Stadium.

The visitors stunned the home crowd early when Denis Višinský fired Viktoria Plzeň into the lead in the 11th minute, finishing from outside the box after a neat assist from Lukáš Červ.
Panathinaikos responded in the 31st minute through Tetteh, who rose highest to head home Giorgos Kyriakopoulos’ pinpoint cross and restore parity. The hosts completed the turnaround shortly after the hour mark as Tetteh produced a brilliant individual effort, driving forward before firing past the goalkeeper with his right foot to make it 2–1.
Just as Panathinaikos looked set for victory, Viktoria Plzeň struck back in the 80th minute. Matej Valenta supplied the assist for Tomáš Ladra, who unleashed a powerful long-range effort to beat the keeper and level the score at 2–2.
The result leaves the tie finely poised, with Tetteh’s brace ensuring Panathinaikos take confidence into the return leg despite missing out on all three points at home.
