Terem Moffi Tipped To Add ‘Extra Firepower’ At Hamburg, As Sporting Director Rates Nigerian Striker High

The arrrival of Super Eagles’ striker, Terem Moffi at SV Hamburg of Germany has been rated as a significant breakthrugh that will add ‘extra firepower’ to the club’s attack and help them in the search for glory now that they are back in the German Bundesliga.

Sports247 reports that this assessment was provided by the club’s sporting director, Claus Costa who described their acquisition of Moffi from OGC Nice of France as a major achievement for the team, considering that the 27-year-old striker comes with a lot of immense qualities.

While tiping Moffi to make a major impact in the German Bundesliga, Costa further declared that the attacker, who previously played for Lorient of France and featured on loan at FC Porto of Portugal last season, will strengthen Hamburg’s attacking options in the new campaign.

Costa added that Mofffi brings considerable experience, with a record of 88 goals and 13 assists across 228 club appearances, as well as six goals and two assists in 23 games for Nigeria, all of which the sporting director believes make the new arrival a major threat to opposing defenders.

“We are delighted to have secured the signing of Terem. Terem is a striker who is difficult to contain due to his physicality, determination, and playing style. He is capable of making runs in behind the defense.

“He has a tremendous presence in the penalty area, and possesses the necessary quality with his back to goal. We are convinced that Terem will add extra firepower to our game.
