After winning silver last time, my goal now is to take it a step further and bring home gold for Team Akwa Ibom,” he said.
Cletus also voiced strong belief in his teammate and close friend, Ofonime Augustine, predicting a medal-laden outing for their team.
“We’re confident that our Kung Fu team will win at least three medals. We’re ready to make Akwa Ibom proud,” he added.
Augustine shared the same optimism, stating his ambition to win two gold medals at the festival.
“My passion for Kung Fu drives me, and I’m ready to give it everything. I’m especially grateful to our coach, Victor David, whose relentless efforts in training have brought us to this point,” he noted.
He also thanked the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, and Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, for their unwavering support, calling it a major morale booster.
