Sport 247 reports that VOE Football Academy remain in search of their first victory in the TCC League after six matchweeks, following a 1–1 draw against Sporting Lagos Academy at Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Lagos, on Friday.
Sporting Lagos Academy’s Egbedokun delivered a late blow to VOE’s hopes of securing a win, finding the net in the 93rd-plus minute (90+4) to earn his side a share of the points.
Egbedokun’s decisive contribution in stoppage time proved crucial for Sporting Lagos Academy, as his late equaliser prevented VOE from taking all three points. The timing of the goal highlighted his impact in the closing stages of a tightly contested encounter.
For VOE Football Academy, conceding so late was a disappointing outcome as they continue to struggle for their first win of the campaign. After six games, the team have collected just two points, leaving them still searching for a result that could turn their season around.
Despite the late drama, Sporting Lagos Academy will take encouragement from their persistence to find a way back into the game. Egbedokun’s stoppage-time goal was the defining moment of the contest, rescuing a point for his team.
VOE must now focus on improving their results in the coming matchweeks if they are to end their winless run and climb the league table.
