Lech Poznań winger Ismaheel Taofeek has received further recognition for his outstanding rise in European football after being named Revelation Player of the Year at the 2025 Cool Wealth Awards.
The 25-year-old Nigerian was selected ahead of a strong field of nominees that included Chibuike Nwaiwu (Trabzonspor), Emmanuel Uchenna (Sparta Praha), Obah Prosper (Shakhtar Donetsk) and Yusuf Abdulazeez (Mjällby AIF), underlining the scale of his impact over the past year.
Reacting to the honour, Taofeek took to social media to express his appreciation.

Taofeek’s meteoric rise began last season at Górnik Zabrze, where his electric wing play caught the attention of Polish giants Lech Poznań, earning him a move to the reigning Ekstraklasa champions.
Since arriving at the Poznań-based club, the Lagos-born winger has seamlessly carried his form into a bigger spotlight, becoming a key attacking outlet for The Kolejorz.
His influence has been particularly evident on the European stage, where Taofeek recorded two goals and two assists in six matches, helping Lech Poznań secure qualification for the first knockout round of the UEFA Conference League.
His pace, creativity and directness have made him one of the breakout stars of the club’s continental campaign.
With the Polish Ekstraklasa currently on its mid-season break until the end of January, Taofeek is part of Lech Poznań’s squad in the United Arab Emirates, where the team is holding a training retreat in preparation for the second half of the season.
The latest award further cements Taofeek’s status as one of the most exciting Nigerian exports in Europe and signals that his upward trajectory is far from slowing down.
