Tammy Abraham Relishes Return To Aston Villa; Says: It’s Good To Be Back

Nigerian-born striker, Tammy Abraham is relishing his return to Aston Villa of England and, in the wake of his first goal for the club last weekend, the lanky star said he ‘feels good’ to be back.

Sports247 reports that Abraham previously spent months on loan at Villa Park from Chelsea in 2018, during which time he helped The Villans regain promotion to the English Premier League.

The former England international, who last played for Besiktas of Turkey, is now relishing his return to Villa’s squad on loan from AS Roma of Italy, expressed sheer delight with his bright start.

After initially feeling saddened when his effort on goal was ruled out during his first match back, Abraham struck last Saturday during Villa’s FA Cup defeat by Newcastle United and the hitman is smiling once again.

Although he admitted it was a setback that the squad got dumped out of the FA Cup by The Magpies, Abraham took positives from their gallant efforts on the evening and for his personal contribution.

The 28-year-old Abraham said: “It was a difficult result to take. I’m proud of my team, we dug deep and we gave them a tough game. We know they have qualities to create chances.

“I’m proud of the boys and we just have to keep going. We always knew it was going to be a difficult game and losing a man is always going to be difficult, but we dug deep.

“As a striker, you always want to score goals. I got unlucky with my first game, with the goal ruled out, but I’m always delighted to score and it’s good to be back.”
