Competing in the women’s 60m hurdles, Tabugbo clocked 8.43 seconds in her first race of the season, signaling a confident comeback after time away from the track.
The race marked her return to competition following the completion of her Master’s degree at the University of Central Florida (UCF), where she balanced academics with elite-level training.
Lining up against a competitive Finnish field, the Nigerian international showed composure and sharpness despite early-season conditions, shaking off rust to deliver a solid opener that sets the tone for her indoor campaign.
Tabugbo also featured in the 60m flat, where she posted 7.80 seconds, underlining her speed and all-round readiness as she builds momentum heading deeper into the indoor circuit.
The performance in Tampere represents a positive first step in what promises to be an important season for the Nigerian hurdler, as she looks to sharpen her form, gain race rhythm, and position herself for bigger meets later in the year.
