SUPER-SUNDAY AS BURUJ HOST FUN-LOVERS TO CELEBRATE 10TH ANNIVERSARY

The Araromi Youth Development Centre Gbagada, Lagos, witnessed a spectacular show of soccer and music on Sunday as Buruj Sports Academy celebrated its heavily publicised 10th Anniversary amidst fun and pageantry.

 

 

Without any iota of doubt, all the parents and guardians who have invested and are still spending their money to support the dream of seeing their wards play football at the highest level in a not too distant future left the venue with a sense of satisfaction and heighten hope that definitely, the future is very bright for the young talents.

Fuji Music icon, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, who is the Chairman Board of Trustees of the academy and Special Guest Of Honour, performed to thrill the audience after mixing freely with the players and officials of the academy who were on hand to receive him on arrival.
The Ibadan, Oyo State-born music star later took to the stage to dazzle all fun-lovers to draw the curtains on the well attended ceremony.

While speaking on the event that saw the players of the academy play a warm-up game to showcase some of the things they ‘ve learnt since joining the Ikorodu-based academy, the CEO, Salaudeen Waheed, popularly called ‘The Doctor’ welcomed all the invited guests, parents, friends and fans of the academy for making some time to join in celebration of excellence in grassroots sports management.

He thanked them for their unflinching support over the past ten years, just as he promised to continue to work to raise the standard and help more youths to realise their God-given potentials in the round leather game.

All the guests and parents in attendance were heaped plaudits on the CEO and his crew members for the job well done and charged them not to rest on their oars, just as they pledged continued cooperation and solidarity in the years ahead.
