Super Eagles’ new discovery in defence, Benjamin Chiemela Fredrick has disclosed that all players in the Nigerian national team entered camp with a bold plan to defeat Rwanda and South Africa.
Sports247 reports that the first part of that plan materialised with a 1-0 spanking of Rwanda on Saturday, which leaves the mission to be fully accomplished this Tuesday in Bloemfontein.

Heading into that fixture, which would make or break Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for next year’s FIFA World Cup, the 20-year-old Fredrick, who is on loan at Dender EH of Belgium from Brentford of England, enthused that the Super Eagles will get their desired win.
The product of Simoiben Football Academy, who previously played for ABS of Ilorin and Nasarawa United of Lafia in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) also urged all fans to support the Eagles in their revival plan.
“Our plan is to win the two games, and we are preparing well to do it. So, I will just say the fans should believe in us and support us, as we try to win these two games,” said Fredrick.
The youngster, who was earlier named Brentford B-team player of the year, will now wait until Tuesday to see if he would get his third cap for the Nigerian national team, which he first played for against Jamaica in the 2025 Unity Cup final.
