The NFF confirmed that the team will enter camp on September 4, with the match serving as a mere formality since the Eagles have already secured their berth in the biennial championship.

Amidst speculations, indications point towards a potential lineup predominantly composed of home-based players.

This strategic move aims to offer local talents a platform to showcase their abilities, while concurrently easing the financial burden on the NFF, who would otherwise be responsible for flying approximately 24 players to the match venue.

The Super Eagles secured their entry into the 2024 AFCON with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Sierra Leone in the culminating game of the qualifying series.

As anticipation builds and preparations intensify, fans eagerly await the unfolding of the final qualifier.

The match not only serves as a testament to the Super Eagles’ consistently strong performance but also provides a platform for emerging talents to shine and contribute to Nigeria’s football legacy.
