Sunshine Stars FC of Akure have strengthened their backline ahead of the 2025/2026 NNL season with the capture of highly-rated defender Linus Chris, who joins from Abakaliki FC.
The young Nigerian center-back, who earned plaudits for his performances last season with the Rice Boyz, is renowned for his calmness under pressure, intelligent positioning, and ability to build play from the back — qualities that made him one of the standout defenders in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
