Sulaimon Optimistic On Team Lagos Despite National Sports Festival Delay

In spite of the delay in the National Sports Festival, Team Lagos male football team are not losing sight as one of their coaches, Hammed Sulaimon is optimistic that the state would shine like stars come February 14 2021 in Edo State.

Recently, the federal government postponed the National Sports Festival which was scheduled to hold this December as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; the organizers shifted it to next year February.

The two weeks event would commence from February 14 through 28, 2021 in the city of Benin, Edo State.

Coach Hammed Sulaimon told our correspondent that the players have been training on a regular basis at Agege Stadium despite the delay in the festival.

He said their recent friendlies showed that the players are in the best form of their lives and ready for the festival that comes next year February.

Sulaimon popularly known as shooting said he is an optimist that Team Lagos would wreak havoc in Edo in respective of any state that comes their way in the event.

“I hardly talk to media when it comes to issuing of Team Lagos mal football team but time has come for me to tell our fans that our team are preparing seriously and I am very confident that Team Lagos would win male football event. Our friendly matches we played recently showed that our boys are hungry for success and nothing can stop us from winning the gold medal,” he boasts.

Sulaimon however thanked Lagos State Sports Commission and Lagos State Football Association, LSFA for their support given the team throughout this year. He said their supports spurred the team to do well in Zonal elimination and all friendly matches played so far.
