Stormers SC of Abeokuta are on the verge of completing the signing of former Sporting Lagos defender Oluwafemi Ladeinde on a free transfer, in what is seen as a major boost to their backline ahead of the new NNL campaign.
The experienced left-footed centre-back is expected to pen a one-year deal with the Abeokuta-based side after parting ways with Sporting Lagos. Ladeinde brings a wealth of Nigeria National League (NNL) experience, having previously featured for Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos, two clubs renowned for their competitive edge and technical quality.

Ladeinde was instrumental in Sporting Lagos’ historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) during the 2023/2024 season, playing a key role in their defensive solidity and leadership at the back.
His arrival at Stormers SC is seen as a statement of intent by the club, which aims to strengthen its defensive structure and challenge for promotion this season.
“Oluwafemi is a great addition to Stormers SC; I’ve watched him play on several occasions, and his composure, positional sense, and ability to read the game stand out,” said a close observer familiar with the player’s development.
