Stalemate in Ijebu Ode: Adamimogo FC, Ekiti United Share Spoils as NLO Playoff Race Tightens

Adamimogo FC and Ekiti United battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw in their second fixture at the Ijebu Ode Center Playoffs on Wednesday, keeping the Nigeria National League (NLO) promotion race wide open.

Both teams now sit on two points each, having failed to convert their chances into a winning goal.

Following a 2-2 opener against Living Voice FA, Adamimogo FC displayed strong defensive organization under Head Coach Alhasan Dosso and his assistants, Kenny Benjamin and Sunday Afolabi.

Despite promising attacking moments from players like Emmanuel Samuel and Lekan Babatunde, the team couldn’t break through Ekiti United’s resilient defense.

Team Manager Isiah Igben expressed confidence after the result, saying, “The boys gave their all, and we remain very much in contention. Our attention now shifts to getting a win against Bendel Insurance Jnr.

We appreciate the unwavering support from the management and the efforts of our coaching staff.”

The technical team shared similar sentiments, commending the players for their determination in such a competitive fixture.

With all four teams—Adamimogo FC, Ekiti United, Living Voice FA, and Bendel Insurance Jnr—locked at two points apiece, Adamimogo’s upcoming match against Bendel Insurance Jnr becomes a must-win to progress to the next stage of the NLO playoffs.
