The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III (CFR), has endorsed the maiden edition of Ogbomosoland Marathon race.
The Marathon, which is scheduled to hold on 28th November this year is aimed at discovering talents and promote sport development at the grassroot.
Oba Oladunni, during the courtesy visit by the members of the organizing committee to his palace, commended the organizers for the initiative which he described as a worthy one.
Earlier in his own remarks, the Chairman of the committee Prince Oyebamiji Aderemi said; ” We are here to intimate the marathon event to our father and equally seek for his royal blessing in our quest to stage the maiden edition of Ogbomoso Marathon”.
Expressing his delight about the move, the first class traditional ruler assured the committee of his support and pray for the success of the upcoming event.
