Gombe United FC Players And Officials Undergo COVID-19 Test

The samples of the players, technical crew, staff and board members led by the chairman and the secretary Dr Larry Daniel and Labiru Garba were taken for COVID-19, as Gombe United Football Club gears up for the upcoming NNL new season.

The mandatory test was conducted today by the Gombe state COVID-19 health officers at the A.Y Guest House opposite Dukku Motor park, Gombe

The Chairman of the club appreciated the Governor Inuwa Yahaya led Government for sending the health officials to conduct the test and its relentless support to the Savannah Scorpions.

According to him the exercise was conducted in compliance with the directive of NNL league body and in adherence to the NCDC and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 health protocols.

Dr Larry Daniel said he is working round the clock alongside his board members to ensuring that Gombe United gets promotion back to the elite league.

He called on the supporters of the club and football enthusiasts in the state to keep on praying for the return of football with fans in the stadium (s) so as to continue gingering their darling club.
