Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club Unveils ‘Keeping Her in School’ Program

In a recent interview, Jadesola Adelabu Okhayian, President of the Sapphire Nigeria Women Football Supporters Club, revealed an exciting program in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, observed on October 11th each year.

The event, aptly named ‘Keeping Her in School,’ is scheduled for Sunday, October 15th, at the Abalti Barracks stadium, running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The highlight of this program is a friendly football tournament featuring eight teams: Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens, FC Phoenix Queens, Future Star Ladies, Cats Ladies, Papa Soccer Angels, Ghetto Tiger Ladies, Dream Stars Ladies, and another female team. Additionally, a seminar is planned, targeting young females aged 10 to 14 years, with free admission.

Speaking about the program during an exclusive interview at the NWFL Annual General Assembly, Jadesola emphasized its significance, saying, “This program is designed to support the girl child, ensuring that every girl has the right to quality education and a solid foundation.” She stressed the importance of encouragement, enlightenment, and holistic development, motivating young girls to reach for the stars.
