Saka Proves Mettle With Arsenal’s Junior Team

Arsenal of England youngster, Bukayo Saka confirm the value of his recent outings with The Gunners’ senior team, as he romped home two goals in action for their under-23 squad.

Sports247.ng reports that made hay alongside fellow-Arsenal youth team player, Xavier Amaechi in a 5-1 win against Manchester City’s kids in an English Premier League 2 fixture.

Saka netted twice to outshine Amaechi, who would have made his first-team debut for The Gunners last year, had he not copped an injury on international duty with England’s under-18 team in September.

Though Saka stole the show at Meadow Park, Amaechi also proved his value as a very promising starlet in the squad, as he got his name on the scorers’ cards and earlier won a penalty for the side.

While Saka and Amaechi dazzled for Arsenal, Nathanael Ogbeta and Felix Nmecha were in action for Man City.
Saka hit his fourth and fifth goals of the season to give Arsenal a 4-1 lead, before Amaechi rounded off scoring in the 66th minute.

Amaechi, who returned to action on December 17, now has two goals and two assists from three games, while Saka has two goals and one assist from his last three games for the team.
