Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar is poised to leave Real Sociedad and return to Valencia CF, with club-to-club agreements reportedly finalized, signaling a reunion following a productive loan spell last season.
The 27-year-old joined Real Sociedad in 2022 for €20 million after an impressive campaign with UD Almería, but he struggled to replicate that form in San Sebastián. Valencia, where he previously shone, will now look to harness his goal-scoring ability as the club fights to climb out of the La Liga relegation zone, currently sitting 18th with 16 points from 18 games.

During his loan at Valencia, Sadiq featured in 19 matches, netting six goals and playing a pivotal role in helping the club retain top-flight status. The forward is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with an option for a further year, in a transfer reportedly worth €5 million, plus €1 million in performance-based bonuses tied to agreed targets.
Valencia will now be hoping Sadiq can rekindle his form and provide a decisive spark in their battle to avoid relegation, while the Nigerian international aims to reignite his La Liga career in familiar surroundings.
