Aare expressed unwavering optimism, assuring Nigerians that the federation is leaving no stone unturned in its quest to make a mark on the continental stage, Sports247 reports.

Highlighting the comprehensive approach to preparation, “It is not just about preparation by the rugby federation, but preparations by the federal government through the Federal Ministry of Sports Development. Everything has been put in place. Good hotel accommodation, feeding, medical, adequate transport.”

Aare emphasized the importance of integrity and responsibility among the athletes, “And the athletes have also been educated on the dangers of drug use and they are not expected to touch any drugs except approved by the medical people. They’ve also undergone medical tests to ensure that they are physically fit. They don’t have any issues that could bring shame to the country.”

With the athletes undergoing rigorous training under the guidance of dedicated coaches, Aare expressed confidence in their readiness to compete at the highest level. “So generally the coaches are doing the utmost best to put them in proper shape, practical wise. We are doing that at the moment because everything is being put in place actually, and we are very sure that we will not disappoint the country.”

As Nigeria prepares to showcase its rugby prowess on the continental stage, Aare’s assurance serves as a beacon of hope for the nation’s sporting aspirations.

With the federation’s commitment to excellence and integrity, coupled with the unwavering support of the government, Nigerian rugby is poised for a successful outing at the African Games, ready to make the nation proud.
