Monaco Hosts PSG At The Stade Louis II In An Exciting Game From The 24th Round Of The Ligue

Monaco hosts PSG at the Stade Louis II in an exciting game from the 24th round of the Ligue

1. Can Los Monegasques cause an upset against the champion? It won’t be easy for sure. Let’s see in these free soccer predictions for today.

Let’s start with Monaco here. Adi Hutter’s team is having a pretty good season. Los Monegasques are third in the league standings with 41 points and just two points behind the second Brest. PSG are far ahead in the table, but Monaco have a chance to get to second place here. Their record so far in the league shows 12 wins, 5 draws and 6 losses. Here we should say that Monaco lost just one of their last five matches in Ligue 1 – against Toulouse.

In the previous round Monaco enjoyed their 12th win for the season. Adi Hutter’s boys faced Lens away from home and conceded twice, but at the end enjoyed a 3-2 win. The hero of the game was Takumi Minamino who scored the winning goal in the 92th minute. Before him Balogun scored for Monaco while Lens’ Samba scored himself an own goal.

Maybe Adi Hutter won’t make many changes in the game against PSG. The Austrian head coach should put Ben Yedder and Balogun in attack while Golovin and Minamino will cause a lot of danger from midfield. For Monaco it’s going to be very important how they will play in defense. Maripan and Salisu will have to be perfect at the center-back position.

Wissam Ben Yedder is Monaco’s top scorer since the start of the season. So far the former Sevilla striker has scored 11 league goals for the club. It’s far from surprising – Ben Yedder is one of the most prolific strikers in the French league.

PSG are marching towards another title in the Ligue 1. At this moment Luis Enrique’s team is 11 points ahead of Brest at the top of the league. They have lost just once in 23 matches played – that’s a pretty good record.

In the previous round PSG surprisingly made a mistake, though – 1-1 against Rennes at the Parc des Princes. They were actually seconds away from losing this one, but Goncalo Ramos scored a very late penalty in the 97th minute. Kylian Mbappe had to leave the pitch in the second half so Ramos was the player who accepted the responsibility to take the penalty. For him it was a 5th Ligue 1 goal for the season.

Randal Kolo Muani could return in the line-up for PSG against Monaco. The club invested a lot of money in him when they bought him from Frankfurt. So far Kolo Muani has 6 league goals, but he could certainly do better. The 25-years old striker must be in line to replace Mbappe when he leaves the club in the summer.

Kylian Mbappe is the league’s top scorer since the beginning of the season. The French international has 21 goals in 21 games – it’s impressive. Everybody knows that it’s going to be his last season in Paris. Mbappe will try to win the Ligue 1 for a last time, but also help the team to reach the latter rounds of the Champions League. Against Monaco Kylian will try to continue his perfect form since the beginning of the season.

That’s the free soccer predictions for today for the Ligue 1 derby between Monaco and PSG on Friday. Surely the champions are favorites here, but Monaco are in the Top 3 – they can offer a real fight here. Adi Hutter’s team is capable, but let’s see how they will do against the biggest club in the country right now.
