Rivers United Unveil Prince Kazeem Eletu Forward, Agu Ahead New Season

Precious Agu, former striker of Lagos based club, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club on Wednesday unveiled as one of the new players recruited by Rivers United ahead of the new season.

Agu who was a top scorer for his former club penned a year deal with Rivers United and ready to face new challenges in the club.

Speaking with sports 247.ng early today, Agu said his coming to Rivers United is to give his best and score as many goals as possible both in the league and CAF Confederation Cup.

“I am happy to be unveiled as a new player in the Rivers United. It is a new challenge for me.I am here to give my best to the club and i cannot wait for the season to start. All I can say is that i am equal to the task and ready to wear Rivers United shirt,” he said.

Commenting on Agu performance in Eletu FC, chairman of the club, Prince Kazeem Eletu said he is not surprised with his move to Nigerian premier club saying that Agu would not only deliver in the league but also make his mark on the continental competition.

“Agu is a good player that Rivers United would be proud of when the league starts. When I watch the team video match, he scores goals that really help the club to win some difficult matches.His assits are uncountable and his presence in the team is a morale boost for other players.

“Agu would ever be missed in the club.I congratulate him for on his new signing and I wish him all the best in his football career,” he said.

In his response, team manager of the Lagos based team, Eletu Muftau expressed delight that Agu finally started his professional career with Rivers United.

According to him, Agu is an asset who had done well for his former club and wished him best of luck in Rivers United.

“What can i say about Agu is to thank God and appreciate him for his resilience, doggedness and commitment to the club when he was with us.I am happy that he was unveiled in Rivers United on Wednesday and i believe that Agu would shine like a star in his debut for the Rivers United,” he said.
