Abdu Maikaba, Plateau United head coach, has set himself the target of winning both the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and Aiteo Cup titles in his first season.

Plateau United have spent big in the Transfer Market, with the club signing talented players like Ovoke Bernard and Sikiru Olatunbosun.
The target is to try to surpass the record of the Plateau United team that won the league title in the 2016/17 season and Maikaba has declared that his major objective is a double in the 2018/19 campaign.
“The target is the double. It won’t be easy but we will try and do it,” said Maikaba to Sports247.ng in an interview.
“The idea is to create a team who play attractive, attacking football with a clear “identity”.
“I want to do my work with all my strength and this is my objective,” the former Wikki Tourists, Sharks and Akwa United gaffer continued.
“I also want to build up the club over a long time because the club have very solid foundations. They have very good players, very good facilities and the staff are all very professional.
