Eight-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International FC, have sent a strong message to rivals with the signing of highly-rated teenage winger, Eni Egon Daniel, from Abakaliki FC, ahead of the 2025/2026 campaign.
The acquisition, confirmed over the weekend during a formal contract signing ceremony at the club’s corporate office in Enugu, underscores the Flying Antelopes’ intent to build a youthful, dynamic squad under head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu.

Eni Egon Daniel, who gained national attention during Abakaliki FC’s impressive 2025 President Federation Cup run, is renowned for his flair, pace, and ability to operate on either flank. The Cross River-born talent described his move to Rangers as a dream fulfilled, expressing readiness to contribute to the club’s title ambitions.
“Rangers is a very big club and the dream of every footballer is to get the opportunity to defend the badge of this great club,” the teenager said. “I hope to make my positive contribution towards helping the team achieve its set targets this season.”
