The Management of Rangers International Fc has rolled out its package for the feeder team player Late Emmanuel Ogbu who lost his life in the same auto car crash that claimed the life of the team’s star player Late Ifeanyi George.
Despite footing the initial expenses of bringing back the late feeder team player’s corpse from the Mortuary around the accident scene in Edo State and the burial in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, the management of the coal city flying antelopes went ahead and approved the sum of one million naira as compensation to the family of the late young star. The money will be handed over to the player’s mother, Mrs. Victoria Ogbu on Wednesday 22nd July 2020.

This is coming against the backdrop of widespread false and negative insinuation making round that the management of Rangers International Fc rejected the player in death and abandoned the family regarding the initial sundry and burial expenses.
Furthermore, the mother and brother of the deceased talented young player, Mrs Victoria Ogbu and Mr Sunday Ogbu, had in synchronized reactions showered encomiums on the management of Rangers International FC and the Chief Executive Officer of the club, Prince Davidson Owumi for their wonderful magnanimous gestures considering the fact that the approved monetary compensation which will go a long way to ameliorate their present poor situation was orchestrated by Rangers Management since there was no such official provisions before now.

This will be in addition to 200,000 condolence presentation to the same family on the day of burial.

The fact is that the insurance premium for Rangers players which is the innovative first in Nigerian football history covers only the registered first team players whereas the economic right of the feeder team players belongs to Rangers which entitled them to monthly stipends and other welfare packages only until they break into the first team to qualify for full insurance package like Late Ifeanyi George whom the family will be presented with the full insurance premium benefits to the tune of twenty million naira as due in extreme event of death or permanent disability.

By FIFA standard and the age declaration to the club, the late Rangers feeder team player was below 18 years of age and as such, an amateur player which cannot be subjected to contractual responsibility or liability either.

It is therefore a task on the ingenuity of the management to internally design a welfare package for the young players under tutelage.

It will be recalled that upon the announcement of the full insurance benefits accurrig to Late Ifeanyi George, oblivious of the true facts, mischief makers went to town with unverified information and alleged the rejection and abandonment of Rangers feeder team player Late Emmanuel Ogbu and his family.
