Beyond Limits FA turned their recent frustration against Iganmu Tiger into a convincing response as the multiple TCC Cup winners powered to a 3-1 victory in an action-packed opening round of the 2026/27 Creative Championship Cup.
Only days after Iganmu held Beyond Limits to a thrilling 3-3 draw in the TCC League, the two sides renewed hostilities in the Cup, but this time Beyond Limits took charge with a ruthless first-half display to secure all three points.
The victory was one of several eye-catching results as the new Cup campaign produced 17 goals across six Matchday 1 fixtures.
Newcomers Gaiters FC made perhaps the loudest introduction, defeating defending champions Atlantic Business 4-2 to announce their arrival in the competition in remarkable fashion.
D Shack FA, another new addition to the Cup, also enjoyed a winning debut after edging Dino Sporting Club 2-1, while Broad City began their campaign with the same scoreline against VOE Football.
Elsewhere, Valiant FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Gbagada FC, while Sporting Lagos FA produced the biggest clean-sheet victory of the round, beating Dannaz FC 3-0. The official Sporting Lagos record confirms the result as their first victory of the season following two draws in the TCC League.

With Gaiters and D Shack winning on debut, the defending champions beaten and established powerhouse Beyond Limits starting strongly, the opening weekend has already offered a glimpse of an unpredictable Cup campaign.
The competition resumes in October, with Beyond Limits against Atlantic Business among the headline fixtures of Matchday 2.
