Poland’s Jakub Kamiński Declares: ‘We’ll Improve Our Elements In This Week’s Match Against Nigeria’

Poland’s in-form winger Jakub Kamiński has come out with a daring declaration that the squad will improve ‘their elements’ during the international friendly against Nigeria on Wednesday, Sports247 reports.

While acknowledging that the Poles could not hit the right rhythm in last weekend’s clash with Ukraine, Kamiński reckoned that they will do better against the Super Eagles, especially as they will be at home.

Kamiński added that all players in Poland’s camp are determined to make up for their 2-0 defeat by Ukraine, during which he replaced Oskar Pietuszewski at the start of the secobd half.

Before his entry into the tie, Roman Yaremchuk and Andriy Yarmolenko had both already hit target to give Ukraine victory, following which Kamiński also blamed lack of blending for Poland’s defeat.

He pointed out that the team’s coach, Jan Urban, experimented with some tactics, tried out squad rotation, then made five changes at half-time, all of which Kamiński believes affected the Polish team’s output during the game.

With the quartet of Oskar Wójcik, Mateusz Żukowski, Norbert Wojtuszek and Kacper Potulski all getting their debuts in the second half, Kamiński submitted that the team also faced lack of chemistry, as the players could not gel properly.

However, while admitting that the Poles did not flow as expected, especially in the second half, due to a lack of familiarity among the players, Kamiński enthused that they will have a better performance on Wednesday against the Eagles.

“It’s obvious that some of us were playing together for the first time, and it’s normal that sometimes there was a lack of automaticity. We still have the match against Nigeria, and we’ll definitely improve the elements that weren’t working,” Kamiński posited.
