Licensed Player intermediary and foreign agent representative at the just concluded Legend Cup 2020, Idowu Ismail has urged Nigeria grassroots players to stay focus and pay more attention to education rather than wasting more time on Sports Betting.
While Speaking with Sports247, before the Semifinal games of the 2020 Legend Cup tournament, Idowu Ismail urged the Youth who aspires to become amazing footballers to play less Sports betting and focus more on education, as this will help them in a long way in becoming better footballers.
“Education is the key to football. Our youths are wasting their time in Sports Betting instead of Education. Education is very important because, after your Career, you will have something to rely on. You might not go through higher education, but let something be in your head, let the school pass through, It’s very important”, he said.
“We need to educate our players, I noticed that most of our players are not educated, and also we should try and encourage education plus football because a player that cannot think very fast cannot play football. There are things beyond the training”.
Idowu Ismail also spoke about Legendary Coaches educating our coaches, as well as helping them master the basis of football, as this will help in a long way in developing our football.
“Also, we need some good coaches to educate our coaches to go to the basis. If we can still go back to meet this football legend, it will go a long way in developing Nigerian football”, he concluded.
