Newly promoted Serie A side Pisa are preparing a bold move for Inter Milan’s rising Nigerian star, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, following his impressive loan spell at Sampdoria.
Reports indicate that head coach Alberto Gilardino is eager to add the dynamic 20-year-old midfielder to his squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as the club looks to cement its place in Italy’s top flight.

Akinsanmiro, a product of Nigeria’s Remo Stars, made a strong impression in Serie B last season, featuring in 35 league games for Sampdoria.
Despite the Genoa-based club narrowly avoiding relegation, the youngster stood out with his composed performances, intelligent distribution, and work rate—registering one goal and one assist.
With Inter Milan stacked in midfield and not yet ready to integrate Akinsanmiro into the first team, the Nerazzurri are open to sanctioning another loan move.
Pisa, however, are pushing for a deal that includes a buyout option, signaling their belief in the midfielder’s long-term value. Inter, in turn, are expected to demand a buyback clause, safeguarding the player’s future should he continue his upward trajectory.
The move, if completed, would mark another step in Akinsanmiro’s rapid rise through the Italian football system since arriving from Nigeria.
He isn’t the only promising youngster heading for the exit at San Siro this summer. Serbian midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic is also attracting interest, with Club Brugge and Sassuolo currently battling for his signature.
As Pisa look to strengthen ahead of a challenging Serie A campaign, the pursuit of Akinsanmiro reflects their ambition—and their focus on building around youth with potential.
