Pinnick Dedicates African Award To NFF Officials

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has dedicated his African Football Alliance (AFA) award to the country’s top soccer officials and stakeholders.

 

 

Spoprts247.ng reports that Pinnick stated as much during the awards ceremony in Johannesburg, South Africa, as he cited the support he has gained in running Nigerian football from the NFF Executive Committee, embers of the Congress as well as the body’s sponsors and partners.

Pinnick admitted that his assignment would have been tougher without support, courage and vision of the NFF board, plus encouragement and unity of the congress, coupled with financial support of sponsors.

Pinnick, who is also president of CAF’s organizing committee for the Cup of Nations, which will welcome 24 teams next year for the first time. also acknowledged the role playedd by Nigeria’s various national teams.

The NFF boss said he was happy to receive the award few hours after the Super Eagles made sure of a place at next year’s AFCON finals.

Pinnick declared: “I stand as President of the NFF and 1st Vice President of CAF, thanks to the vision and full support of my colleagues on the NFF Board.

“The oneness and impregnability of the NFF Congress and the financial lifeline provided by our sponsors.

“The Government of Nigeria does so much to support our programs and our sponsors also put in a lot.”
