Perfect Faye of Bayelsa State delivered a sensational performance in the U18 Boys’ 200m final at the National Youth Athletics Championships, clocking a new personal best of 21.68s to clinch the title.
Despite a moment of uncertainty at the finish line—when Faye wasn’t sure he had won after seeing Ajibare Ibrahim celebrating—his blistering finish was enough to edge out his rivals in a closely contested race.

Ibrahim, who looked confident at the end, settled for second with a time of 21.71s, while Destiny Egbon claimed third place in 21.98s.
