“Our Plan Is To Attract Sponsors”– NAFF President Paul Maduako Led Administration

Nigeria Amputee Federation Football(NAFF) Board members have disclosed that their plan is to make the federation marketable to investors and sponsors in order to move the sport forward in Nigeria.

This announcement was made in Lagos at a meeting held by the newly elected board of the NAFF to discuss how to take Amputee football to the next level in Nigeria.

The new board said attracting sponsors and investors would enable the federation to organize more competitions locally across the country to international level also.

Paul Maduako, President of the Nigeria Amputee Federation Football disclosed after the meeting that his administration is ready to improve as a professional sport in the country.

He also noted that the federation has plans to take amputee football to every state across the country, citing that most Nigerians haven’t seen an amputee football match in their life.

“What is expected of this new board is that first we want to improve amputee football as a professional sport. Then secondly we want to see how best we can do to improve the standard of living of every amputee football player.

Thirdy, we want to discover amputees in every look and crowning of this country. We want to achieve our goals and projects. We’ll be welcoming corporate bodies, organisations and philanthropies to come to our aid.

Part of our resolution here is that we are going to do a states tour of amputee football. If you watch amputee football there is a lot of energy and passion embedded in most of them (players).

Most people do not know that many amputees can play football.

Most of them have never ever seen an amputee play football, so we need people to come out and support our movement.

We want to do city tours/ states tours where we can go to different localities to play amputee Football so that amputees around that community will say wow that if these people can do this then I will be able to do that. So we want to do that to discover them.”
